Roshni Shukla, M.A., Practicum Intern

Roshni (she/her) received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. Currently, Roshni is an advanced doctoral trainee pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman’s University. Roshni is passionate about working with those with experiences with relational trauma, racial trauma, identity based and acculturation related concerns, and the immigrant experience.

Roshni works through a trauma-informed, interpersonal, attachment based, feminst, and multicultural approach. She believes the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is incredibly important for healing and hopes to co-create a space that not only is a secure base, but also allows her clients to feel welcomed, affirmed, and safe to be their most authentic selves. Roshni believes that her clients are the experts of their own lives, and therefore, hopes to work collaboratively with her clients so they can feel empowered in their lives.

In her free time, Roshni enjoys spending time with friends, family, and of course, her sweet and fluffy dog! Roshni enjoys watching movies and reality TV, taking walks with her dog, attempting to recreate her favorite meals at home, and trying out local restaurants!
