Brainbow: A Virtual Conference for Pride-Minded People
We are seeking presenters, educators, and artists to teach queer-focused workshops to professionals and community members. This virtual conference is an all-day event on July 31st, with three tracks: Mental Health, Interpreters, and Community. We are obtaining CEUs for as many workshops as possible, however, workshops are not required to be academic in nature. Deadline for submitting an interest form is June 10, 2021.
The Ephemera Exhibition: An Exploration of Queer Identity
This visual art show will open on August 15, and remain on display until August 31st. An opening reception will be held on the 15th; all selected artists are asked to be at the opening. The show will be hosted by Golden Boy Coffee Co., and can be viewed at any time during their business hours. Original hanging and free-standing pieces will be selected based on expression of theme, intersectionality, and diversity of medium. Deadline for submitting an interest form is July 15th. Glitter Revival: Celebrating a Life of Pride
This afternoon/evening event will be hosted at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios in Denton. There are three stages that will host a variety of showcases throughout the day, ending with a LoveSick Mary live-band Glitterbomb show on the outdoors mainstage. We are looking for performance artists, expressive and experiential art demonstrations, drag and burlesque dancers, singers and songwriters, magicians and storytellers, and community arts and resource organizations interested in performing, vending, tabling, or hosting a showcase at the Glitter Revival event. Deadline for submitting an interest form is July 15th.
